On Tuesday (31) the IRS paid the fourth batch of the 2021 Individual Income Tax refund. The payment is for more than 3.8 million taxpayers. Refunds for the fourth batch also include refunds from previous years.

The total value of refunds reaches up to R$ 5.1 billion, of which R$ 273.2 million will be allocated to priority taxpayers, they are: 8,185 seniors over 80 years old, 67,893 between 60 and 79 years old, 6,088 with some physical or mental disability or serious illness and 26,647 taxpayers whose main source of income is teaching.
The lot also includes 3,710,930 non-priority taxpayers who submitted their declaration by August 16th.

The consultation can be carried out on the IRS website, where the taxpayer must click on “My Income Tax” and then on “Consultar Restitution”.
On the portal it is possible to know if there are any pending issues that are blocking the payment of the refund. You can also do the procedure through the My Income Tax app, available for Android and iOS smartphones.

The refund amount will be deposited in the bank account informed by the taxpayer on the Income Tax Declaration. If, for any reason, the money cannot be transferred to the account informed, the amount will be available at Banco do Brasil for up to one year.
The refund payment was divided into five lots, and those on May 31, June 30, and July 30 have already been paid. This Tuesday, payment is due on August 31st, only the last batch that will be paid on September 30th is missing.
