The head of the Federal Comptroller General (CGU), Wagner Rosário, abandoned the label of “technical” minister on which he relied to guarantee the position he has held since the administration of former president Michel Temer (MDB).
A Brazilian Army soldier, he graduated from the Agulhas Negras Military Academy, where President Jair Bolsonaro (no party) also studied. Rosário came to occupy the position of Captain before leaving the Force, after passing a competitive examination for federal auditor, in 2008.
The minister assumed the temporary role of minister in the Temer administration, in May 2017, after the resignation of Torquato Jardim. The first auditor to hold the highest office in the portfolio, Rosário increasingly shows his unconditional adherence to radical pocketnarism.
On the night of September 6, the day before the Independence Day demonstrations, he praised protesters who invaded the Esplanada dos Ministérios. On the occasion, he posted a message on social networks at night with a video showing a group at the location, in the stretch closest to the bus station. You can hear a man’s voice saying “released the barrier.”
“It’s beautiful to see Brasília being taken over by good people. Orderly people, who only want to live in a fairer, freer and more democratic country. It’s beautiful to see!!! Long live the 7th of September!!!”, wrote the minister.

This Wednesday (15), he decided to attack the president of the Covid Parliamentary Inquiry Commission (CPI), Omar Aziz (PSD-AM), after being accused of committing a crime of malfeasance. At the Twitter, Rosario wrote a heated message.
:: Covid’s CPI approves the summoning of Ana Cristina, ex-wife of Bolsonaro ::
The CGU minister rejected Aziz’s request to include him in the commission’s report on the crime of malfeasance. “Slander is a crime,” wrote Rosário on social media.
senator @OmarAzizSenator, slander is a crime!!! The authority to anticipate the attribution of guilt, before the investigations are concluded and the indictment formalized, is also a crime!!! Eagerly awaiting your call

Aziz’s request came after the lobbyist for Precise Medicine Marconny Faria said that the CGU carried out a search and operation at his home in October 2020. Aziz also stated that he will mark the minister’s testimony.
:: CPI should listen to the lobbyist of Precise about the purchase of the Covaxin vaccine ::
“Wagner Rosário is an offender. He has to come right here. How did he know that Roberto Dias [ex-diretor de Logística da pasta federal] was operating within the Ministry of Health and did not take action? He has to explain,” said Aziz.
“It’s not the operations he carried out, no, but his omission in relation to the federal government. The CGU was at Marconny’s house, took the material fact and did not take action”, completed the senator.
Prevarication is also a crime. https://t.co/x3Ga8oL4oH
