On Monday (20), the Court of Justice of Paraná (TJ-PR) guaranteed the payment of the 3.14% readjustment to civil servants in Curitiba. The injunction suspends the decree published by the city last Tuesday (14), which cut the payment of the adjustment granted last year.
With the decision, the Greca management will be obliged to continue paying the salary increase, including the month of September on a supplementary payroll, preventing the salary reduction.

In the preliminary injunction, the TJ-PR understood that the city’s decision to suspend the adjustment of civil servants is unconstitutional and entails a wage reduction that impacts family income, especially taking into account the country’s inflationary increase.
The decision was granted after a request for Urgency Guardianship made by all the unions that represent the municipal civil servants in Curitiba. The city can still appeal.
In a statement, the Union of Municipal Public Servants of Curitiba (Sismuc) warns of the importance of permanent organization of the category. “We already know that we need to organize ourselves for the base date, which takes place at the end of October. We must also not forget that more attacks are to come, such as the application of the pension rate to retirees who earn above the minimum wage and the increase in retirement age for other workers”, he recalls.
