Lula meets with political leaders in Ceará with a focus on

Former president Lula (PT) ends his agenda in the state of Ceará this Monday (23) participating in several meetings with leaders and representatives of parties such as PSOL, PCdoB, PSDB, MDB, PDT and the PT itself.

One of these meetings was with Senator Tasso Jereissati (PSDB). On his social networks, the former president said that “the democrats of that country have the responsibility and the challenge of rescuing civility in Brazilian politics for the good of Brazil”.

Also on his social networks, federal deputy José Guimarães, who is following Lula’s agenda in the state, said that “our dialogue seeks to build a unit to stop the setbacks we are facing at the present time.”

State deputy Renato Roseno (PSOL) affirms that it is necessary to take Brazil out of the hands of the Pocketnarist hatred.

“We need to reinvent this country based on values ​​such as the defense of the environment and human rights and the fight against sexism, racism, LGBT phobia and social inequalities. All this involves the defense of the democratic state, which suffers repeated threats by Bolsonaro and his supporters”.

For him, the so-called progressive camp needs to dialogue to strengthen the trench in favor of democracy, diversity and freedom, but also to demand a new way of doing politics, which dialogues more directly with popular struggles. “Only then will we be able to refound Brazil”.

Lula in Ceará

Former president Lula has been in Ceará since last Friday (20th), when he arrived in Fortaleza and was welcomed by the governor of Ceará, Camilo Santana (PT), with whom he attended a dinner.

On Saturday morning (21st), Lula visited the new EPZ II and the Port of Pecém, in the Pecém Complex, in São Gonçalo do Amarante. In the afternoon, the former president participated in meetings with popular movements and culture professionals. From here in Ceará, Lula will continue his tour of the Northeast through Rio Grande do Norte and Bahia.
