PF carries out a search and seizure operation against Sérgio Reis and

On this Friday morning (20th), the Federal Police is complying with search and seizure warrants issued by the Supreme Court against singer Sérgio Reis and federal deputy Otoni de Paula (PSC-RJ).

The purpose of the measures, according to a statement from the PF, is “to investigate the possible commission of the crime of inciting the population, through social networks, to practice violent and threatening acts against Democracy, the Rule of Law and its Institutions, as well as against the members of the Powers”.

The warrants, which were issued by Minister Alexandre de Moraes, are being carried out in the Federal District (1) and in the states of Santa Catarina (6), São Paulo (2), Rio de Janeiro (1), Mato Grosso (1), Ceará (1) and Paraná (1).

Singer Sérgio Reis has been in the sights of the Federal Police since there was an audio leak in which the artist defended the stoppage of truck drivers, the invasion of the Senate and the removal of ministers of the Supreme Court.

Deputy Otoni de Paulo, in a video, called Alexandre de Moraes “trash”, “tyrant” and “scoundrel”, among other offenses. At the time, the deputy was one of the deputy leaders of the Bolsonaro government. He has already left office.

In response to the audio by Reis, the president of the Brazilian Association of Motor Vehicle Drivers (Abrava) and leader of the 2018 truck stoppages, Wallace Landim, known as Chorão, had denied the singer and stated that the category will not adhere to the acts of on September 7, which will ask for the approval of the printed vote and the overthrow of the 11 justices of the Federal Supreme Court (STF).
