Singer and songwriter Zeca Pagodinho was discharged from hospital early this Thursday (19th). He was hospitalized at Casa de Saúde São José, in the south of Rio de Janeiro, since last Saturday (14) after being diagnosed with covid-19.

In early July, the 62-year-old samba dancer took the second dose of the vaccine against the disease caused by the new coronavirus. As a result, he had mild symptoms when he became infected with covid.
On the days he was hospitalized, Zeca also recorded a video and posted it on his social networks to say he was recovering and to encourage the population to take the vaccine against the disease. “The important thing is to get vaccinated to be able to recover faster,” said the singer.
